Metal Maniac

I was sent a link with a release to be downloaded via “RED and ANARCHIST BLACK METAL BLOG”, a website in which band members can release their music. And I checked the band’s Facebook and they confirmed that the link was made available by them. The band I’m talking about is AVE.

On this website I found some information about the band, which follows: “AVE (from a Spanish word meaning “Bird”) are a Mexican band which recently released their 1st official recording titled “Control” (same meaning in Spanish and English), consisting of 3 long tracks. Their lyrics are mostly about the decadence of the human being and civilization.”

I really, really liked what I heard, rich very compositions featuring acoustic guitars that reminded me a bit of Uaral, insane screaming vocals, a huge amount of talent to write top-notch Sludge Metal riffs and hellish drums pounding. All instruments are finely played. Parts of the songs are calm and atmospheric and then you’re hit with furious and fast side, piercing and frenetic. This band really knows what they are doing and very impressive for being their début official release.

Production is fine, much much better than I was expecting. Mexico has been quite a surprise lately, as I’ve heard many amazing bands being created there. And, as I always ask, if you liked the music, do what is possible for you in order to help promoting the band. A simple link sharing on Facebook is already useful.
