And now I give you my thoughts concerning Tare, a band that hails from the United States of America. First, some statements: I’ve been listening to Black Metal for almost two decades, yes, I’ve started really early and I have to admit that I’ve heard almost it all (please, I don’t want to sound cocky or “kvlt”, I just happen to love discovering new music, that is all). And Black Metal being my favorite metal style, it’s a bit hard for me to find out new interesting bands, although I’m sure there are many out there, just needing that small chance for more people to know them.
I should stop digressing and tell you my thoughts about Tare and Ritual Degradation… It’s amazing, raw, crude, cold, necro, everything a Black Metal band should be. This EP feels so desolate, so creepy. All the instrumentation is fantastic, even the programmed drums doesn’t “cause any harm”, the vocals are outstanding, aggressive, in a times, they reminded me of Attila Csihar, those weird, great sounds, but no, the band’s material is unique, they’re not trying to copy others. Well, the whole set, the whole “package” is more than satisfying, it is actually surprising, since this is the band’s début EP.
If you still have any doubts about Ritual Degradation, just listen to No Real Reason, its ending is simply stunning. The ending song is a very interesting, hypnotic piece that will impress Extreme Metal fans, as it’s simple, but yet so effective. Tare does exactly what I love, play extreme, aggressive metal, but still sound beautiful, magnificent and majestic.
