And here we have another Death Metal review; I guess the genre is making a come-back to my favorite genres once again. As I’ve mentioned on older articles, I’ve always highly enjoyed this musical style, but, from a year or two, I hadn’t heard many Death Metal bands, I don’t know why. But, fortunately, I’ve rediscovered this great genre and I’m sharing more and more thoughts about these related releases.

Today I’ll be talking about the 2015 Demo by Cambion, titled “Unfold Chaos Supreme”. In their Facebook page we can find some information about the band, which I’m quoting: Cambion is an international strike of lightning Death, forged by T.R. in Germany and R.O. in the United States. Inspired by the molten records of ancient Slayer and early millenium evil Death Metal – Krisiun, Angelcorpse, Hate Eternal, Ophiolatry, and others – Cambion was formed in late 2013 to bring back the tradition of speed-obsessed blasphemous Death. Joined by CJH (bass), Cambion released the 5 song demo, Unfold Chaos Supreme, and are poised to tear a rift in space-time. To my surprise, before even listening to their Demo, I read that one of their influences is the Brazilian band Abhorrence, one group that I also admire for a very long time and find them extremely underrated, deserving to be more recognized even in their native nation.

Well, returning to “Unfold Chaos Supreme”, I’ll start with the sole negative aspect of this release, and, as I’ve said in other similar situations, it’s not really a negative point, it’s just that it leaves you wanting more! It’s not really short of a release, when you surely have a demo in mind, but time flies by. Obviously we can see this also as a positive facet, since you don’t ever get bored, but rather, you keep wishing that there were more songs to be heard. It’s quite clear that I really enjoyed their work.

The music is very technical and fast, there’s no stalling here, everything is just killer, ultra aggressive, filled with riffs, no fillers, just pure holocaustic music, kicking your face, always with violence and fury. I listened to this demo for the first time just to see if I could review it in the future, but I enjoyed it so much that I decided to listen to it for a few more times, I guess for more three or four and wrote this article, because I’m completely blown-away by its rampage expeditious compositions. The vocals are more of a deep black metal style, which gives a more of a unique brand, while the guitars are simply insane, ultra brutal and, in a way, very catchy, for those that enjoys the style, yes. As for the production of “Unfold Chaos Supreme”, a fine work, nothing more to be observed. All well recorded.
