Vukari – En To Pan
Vukari is an Atmospheric Metal band that hails from the city of Chicago. Formed in the year 2013 as Vucari, in the same year the band changed the letter “c” to “k” and released their début album named Matriarch, an album that I highly recommend to you all. Now, in 2014, the band returns with the EP “En To Pan”.
Vukari’s music relies on Black Metal and Post-Rock influences, with an atmospheric feeling overall the songs, resulting into an interesting and beautiful mix. And “Em To Pan” is no different, the band kept all their “trademarks”, melancholic tunes, fast tremolo guitars, black metal shrieks, all working in a very emotional and deep way. Besides all that, the music is very catchy and melodic.
This EP is absolutely amazing. I’m in love with the music that Vukari crafted. There’s so much beauty in “En To Pan”, creativity, intensity and energy. Indeed a tasteful, master work that blew my mind. I’m listening it right now and the atmosphere, the guitars, the whole package brings me emotions, but not really of anger or bitterness, but rather of joy and hope. Interesting how music “affects” us differently. I hope you feel the same way when listening to “En To Pan”. It’s actually, in my modest view, uplifting and exhilarating. A stunning piece of art.
As for the production, very clean, so I guess the other listeners will not have any complaints. I close this small article by stating that I can’t praise high enough this release and urge you all to give Vukari a chance and help supporting this band that is entitled to more recognition.
Until next time.
